Trees and Landscaping

The Boston Ridge board attempts to keep our neighborhood well-manicured, while balancing potential projects and maintenance with the cost to residents.

The trees in Boston Ridge provide numerous benefits including beauty, shade, and privacy, but many are now over thirty years old.  We periodically engage a licensed arborist to evaluate all trees in the neighborhood.  Evaluations can be performed when trees have leaves, and are generally scheduled in the spring.

If you have concerns about trees, please contact our Management Services company.  Their representative will pass your concern on to the board for consideration. Tree removal and replacement is costly, so tree issues are prioritized based on safety.

Our neighborhood contracts with a landscaping company for:

  • Seasonal lawnmowing for front yards and common areas
  • Seasonal leaf removal for common areas
  • Landscape maintenance of common areas
It is the owners' responsibility to perform general landscaping upkeep of their property.  For individual properties, our landscaping company only performs mowing and edging.  If an owner does not want to personally maintain their yard and property, they are encouraged to employ an outside vendor for this maintenance.
